Guest guest
Could a lawyer help? Going to the news? Moving? My pain has been flaring up/too/ from trying to find a job, since disability was denied. Just applying has taken a toll. Guest guest
Dear , I absolutely, completely. 100% agree with Ellen. Your PCP is committing SERIOUS MALPRACTICE AND COULD GO TO PRISON for what he is doing you. And god only knows how he has treated other patients?? I believe that, at this point, in order to save your life, your BEST, and possibly only, option is to sue the pants off your @$$hole PCP. Find a malpractice attorney. Most of them offer free consultations and do not charge you unless and until they win your case for you. A quick Internet search, or by going to the American Bar Association's website, will help you find some. I suggest that you also do the following: A) Ad Ellen said, GO TO THE NEWS. And I mean television, radio, newspaper--even Internet news sites. MAKE NOISE, and SOMEONE will respond. Find out what professional associations your PCP is a member of, and file a complaint with their Ethics Committees. I can almost guarantee that he is a member of the American Medical Association (AMA). Most licensed doctors belong to at least 2 or 3, but many also belong to more than that. If he is found in violation of the associations' ethics rules--whicj I am sure ALL of us on this list will agree that he will--then he will be kicked out of those organizations, AND this will be PUBLIC information. Plus, any doctor who has ever been kicked out of a professional association--especially the AMA, above all others--is unlikely ever to get a job again, and could even be fired from his current practice. C) As someone(s) else on this list suggested, write to your senators and representatives. You can find out who they are at www.house.gov and www.senate.gov. Do all of these, with the help and support of your family and friends to do anything you can't do yourself due to the pain. SOMEONE will take your case, SOMEONE will listen, SOMEONE will help you so that you can survive and live through this. Steve, I care about you and I am thinking about and praying for you during this trying time for you. GOOD LUCK, and please do take some action. It will help save your life. With love, e.h. >Ellen wrote: > Could a lawyer help? Going to the news? Moving? > > My pain has been flaring up/too/ from trying to find a job, since > disability was denied. Guest guest
--, I am a retired radiation therapist and radiation therapy causes scarring and inflammation and so does cancer. The cancer itself can cause pressure which may happen at different times. I would contact the American Cancer Society and start keeping a pain dairy (American Pain Foundation, Target you Pain Notebook) and every time you go to the Doctor or radiation therapist ask that it be included in your medical records. Somehow, having a piece of documentation will bring them around. Please call the Cancer Centers of America , , they have really good contacts and their facility is in Philadelphia. Let us know what they tell you.http://www.cancercenter.com/eastern-hospital.cfm Bennie
