Guest guest
I'm sorry--there's more here on Opana than Is thought and I'm too low on energy to sort through more of this.? i hop the information was/is worth your efforts!! xoxoxoxo >Lyndi wrote: >I was just reading through the following link for Opana ER. http://www.opana.com/patients/about-opana.aspx Under the section " How should I take Opana ER " it says to flush unused medication down the toilet! It gets into the water supply, along with all the other medications that people foolishly flush down the toilet. >Better to smash it all up and mix it in with coffee grounds or used kitty litter etc. Or, take it to your pharmacist for disposal. Just don't put it into the water supply! Messages in this topic (2) ________________________________________________________________________ 1b. Re: Good Grief! Opana ER Posted by: " Anne R " aemr911@... acoldtoes Date: Tue May 8, 2012 12:45 pm ((PDT)) I don't know much about this drug, okay I had never heard of it before but here is some info I found online about it, one of the sites though said that it is in short supply so be careful with that tidbit. Here are the sites I found: http://www.rxlist.com/opana-er-drug.htm http://www.opana.com/patients/about-opana.aspx Anne Messages in this topic (3) ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ 3a. My Mom Posted by: " Anne R " aemr911@... acoldtoes Date: Tue May 8, 2012 5:51 pm ((PDT)) My Mom went to Heaven today, or more likely last night she went to sleep and just never woke up. According to what the medical examiner told my Dad and Brother, they believe she died in her sleep last night. I had been trying to get a hold of my Mom since last night, I had talk to her earlier in the day and she wasn't feeling good still but didn't want to go to the hospital. I didn't worry too much because she hadn't been sleeping so I was hoping she was sleeping on her good ear and just didn't hear the phone. I called her all day today and couldn't get a hold of her so finally at about 3 p.m. I called my Dad to see if he had talk to her, he hadn't so he went over to check on her, and found her. He called 911 and they worked her as an arrest for quite awhile before they called the code and pronounced her dead. My Dad, Jame and are down there with her still, waiting for the mortuary to come get her. I have no idea what will happen next. Tonight Montanna 'bridged' from Brownie GS to Junior GS and everyone was supposed to be coming up for that. We gave Montanna the choice and she wanted to go be with her friends and " bridge " so that is what Terry, Montanna, and I did tonight. So if I am not around for a couple of days, that is why. Love Always, Anne Messages in this topic (11) ________________________________________________________________________ 3b. Time will most likely feel like it's standing still so you be as still and remember the good days. My own mother suffered greatly until the moment of her death. I know which way I prefer to go, if I am given any input on it at all. Thoughts go out to you and your family. & gt; Anne R wrote: & gt; My Mom went to Heaven today, or more likely last night she went to sleep and just never woke up. " The American Pain Foundation " is no more...!!! Posted by: " Ron " ronwood@... smdbluz125 Date: Tue May 8, 2012 7:11 pm ((PDT)) Hi ya Bennie, I've noticed that you've mentioned the APF quite a few times. I couldn't agree more with you, It was a brilliant organization, and I've been an active member there for the last decade or so. Unfortunately, It doesn't exist any longer. I don't know if you receive their newsletters or other mailings, But as of this evening, there is nothing left of their website / organization except for the homepage explaining the decision to shut down. It's a sad day for the Pain Community in my humble opinion. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, But I thought some here would want to know this. Anybody know? I had my pharmacist check the price of Oxycontin's equivalent dose, when my doctor wanted to switch me to Opana ER. The Oxycontin was $148 more per month than the Opana for the equivalent. I've only been taking Opana ER for a week. It seems to be doing what it's supposed to do. I'm getting about the same help as I got from Methadone, which was about the same as when I was taking Oxycontin. It is working better than the Avinza did. My pain issues are multiple, so it would take a stupor inducing dose to give me genuine pain relief. I'll settle for a slightly lower pain level and the ability to function as close to normally as I can manage. Tonight that normal meant I hobbled home from work. Hobbled in the kitchen and got some supper together. Stood still with gratitude on the fat squishy mats in front of my cupboards and then worked on the scar tissue in the arches of my feet for half an hour. Now I'm gonna go wrap my cold pack around my neck, get my five pillows for my neck in place, the safety heating pad in place on it's special down pillow for my lower back, the two pillows to keep my feet raised and try to get some sleep. Next week I'm going to be wearing my new leg and foot splints to bed. It'll probably take me fifteen minutes just to get my bed paraphernalia organized. Ah yes! Life in the fast lane! lol Lyndi Messages in this topic (4) Know someone who could benefit from our list?
