Guest guest
Lyssa, So sorry to hear about the lil one. Try some ice on the legs, wrapped in a towel. Sometimes that helps. You're a great mom, keeping the eyes and ears open for something " off " ...good call! She'll get over this, hopefully fast since you nipped it in the bud. Now, you go get rest! You need to sleep too. Could your hubby cancel his trip to stay home and help by any chance? Great idea on the Nutritionist...I'm gonna do that too! See Kim, you came out to talk, and we're all helping each other overcome some of lifes most difficult challenges! Hang in there WORLD! BLONDIE Replies. Hey everyone I'm reading ... first of all good luck to all the preops going in soon. Kathy .. I think you're doing great. Also I'd suggest taking your inches/measurements so if you think the scale isn't going in one way fast enough you might just be dropping a ton of inches in another aspect of it. Hang in there its all early days now .. and time always wins you'll lose it. Listen to Lois and Dawn .. wise ladies we have here Kim - Hon you know I love you and have been thinking about you a long time. I'm glad you are going to Dr. Thayer but please don't' feel you have to post to warn others there that you might look fat. Hon you look beautiful because you are beautiful and not just on the outside .. you are truly a wonderful human being who is having a rough time right now. Good for you to go in now versus later and you aren't hiding now hon and we're here for you. You've done a wonderful job .. even to regain 17 lbs right now look how far you've come. You can do this. We can do this. You might find there is a physical reason for the regain. Are you going to ask for a scope, a pouch check? If you think all that's fine and its the eating can you work with the nutritionist. I know we all know what to eat but maybe reporting in might help in being accountable sort of like that weigh in at WW sometimes that is a motivator to do well knowing you report in. Hon I only suggest this as I am currently looking for a nutritionist actually I have the name of one from my therapist to talk with. That's the other thing are you eating the bad stuff for any reason, are you stressed are you having some issues maybe talking with someone would help. Whatever you do though hon please don't beat yourself up, you're my hero and I'll never forget how you reached out to me when I was a preop. HUGS .. good luck tomorrow and I'm thinking of you. Alice A I wrote to you privately about small steps and big successes but I'm not sure if it went or not my email was down most of today so way to go on passing up those cookies and realize it is a big deal even if others might not think it is. I do .. I think that's a big thing and one step forward leads to many. Lets just remember we are all human and we all screw up from time to time but the beauty of this gift if we get a new day to try again even if we take a step back now and then. We're all here for each other. You are doing wonderfully! you look great HUGS!!! Also welcome lynn_coulombe@... who has joined our friendly community! Lois you're a hoot I'm glad you caught Dawn's goof I didn't lol incubated .. not poking fun at you Blondie just the visual of us in an egg hee hee .. ok I'm tired I'm sleep deprived Ok in my news lol. I'm worried my trip to England is in jeopardy we'll see how the next few days play out. My youngest came down with cold like symptoms on Friday and on Saturday she started coughing and we thought it was all part and parcel until Monday the fever came and well normal course is it burns off after a few hours but hers just went up and up and up and after 24 hours of meds she was still at 104.5F so we went into the doc's office and they sent us to the hospital where blood work and chest x-rays revealed pneumonia. So it was back to the doctor for a double injection of antibiotics and more waiting to make sure she didn't react to it. Then we were able to come home and she has to be monitored .I've been up since 2 am and I'm tired. Anyway the good news is her fever has broke and she seems more alert. She is taking sips of juice and I'm watching her with a keen eye to avoid dehydration. My dh is going on a business trip in the am and won't be back until Thurs night ... and I leave Friday if all is better. Her biggest complaint right now is the legs the injections have caused her legs to swell and are extremely tender. Poor bun. When it rains it pours.
