Guest guest
In my opinion - (take it for what it's worth) -- I think going to see a Doctor is better. Because a lot of times someone else will pick up on things you may have missed. Chelation scares me too. I know that my brother is mercury toxic -- he's 25 got all the vax's --w/mercury, and my Mom had dental work done (she had an absess tooth when she was prego w/him) -- I used PCA-Rx w/NG-Rx. I do not know if it's pulling metals (because I haven't had that tested yet) -- but he has made amazing progress. There are other natural items that will pull metals. If you are interested -- let me know, I will share w/you what I do know and understand about it. Guest guest
Yes, that is what I meant. You're an O. My Mom was an O+, My Dad was A-. Out of 7 children 6 of us are A's and 1 of us O. We are all left handed. (Mom was left, Dad was right) Genetics are so weird!!! Jimmy is right handed and Maddie is left handed. My husband and I are both left handed. --I read him the neanderthal quiz...we both display very " autistic like " characteristics. LOL!! (By the way, very cool, a LOT of information) -- funny that left handedness is an autistic characteristic...that is just so weird...very cool, though. laura > > > > > > > if type A blood is the most common blood type you will see it more in > > autistic kids just like you would in normal society that would be a > > given....not unusual. it would be unusual if you DIDN'T see the same trend > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > > -- > Toni > > ------ > Mind like a steel trap... > Rusty and illegal in 37 states. >
Guest guest
I would say both. That is what we are doing. I have been a member of AAP for 18 months and Dr. Woeller has A LOT of info on the site. He also does 2 video chats per week and has a great SLP once a week to help with feeding/taking supplements issues. However, we are at the point that we need RX (M12, anti-fungals and maybe antivirals, etc) so we need to see a DAN! doc to obtain those. I could drive 6 hours to see Dr. Woeller but we now have a DAN! doc in our home town so I don't have to drive. The whole idea for his site is to be there for people that do not have or can not afford a DAN! doctor and/or to be there to help with issues when your DAN! doc is unavailable or to answer questions or help you determine if you need to see your DAN! doc etc. Here is the link if you need it. http://www.autismactionplan.org/members/autismactionplan/info/Hunt1-join.\ html > > Someone recommended AAP here (sorry I've lost it among my " saved " emails) > > Before I pay for the site, can you tell me if this is an individualized > action plan? Guest guest
Ouch. Really " damaged? " Great, can't wait to tell my sibs that they are all damaged -- explains a lot, my Dad will be thrilled. He won't feel like he was crazy all those years. LOL!! That's interesting, because my son (who shows a preference to his right hand) struggles with speech, (which is a left hemisphere activity) -- does this mean when I finally un-damage him he will be left handed like the rest of us? (Myself, husband and child 2 (eats and draws lefty, not to say she won't change hands) are all left-handed.) Just makes it easier. lg > > > > > > > > > > > if type A blood is the most common blood type you will see it more in > > > autistic kids just like you would in normal society that would be a > > > given....not unusual. it would be unusual if you DIDN'T see the same trend > > > > > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > > > > > > -- > > Toni > > > > ------ > > Mind like a steel trap... > > Rusty and illegal in 37 states. > > >
Guest guest
We are members of AAP but my daughter is also a client of Dr. Woeller's. The site has been great for us because we basically have access to pick his brain 24hrs a day. I don't know how he has time for his family because he is basically on that site 24/7 to help. It works great for us because I can discuss issues on the site with him and then have him send in an rx right away without having to wait for our next consult. But if don't have the budget to do the site and a dr, definitely go see a DAN! in person. I know some of the people on his site have very understanding pediatricians. They get their advice from Dr. Woeller, then have the pedi run the labs and write scripts. Dr. Woeller will then go over the lab results if the pedi doesn't know how to read them properly. So that is one way to save money as well. -Amber
