Guest guest Posted February 5, 2012 Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 I had a series of 3 with the second one lasting the longest, 2 days, but mostly they lasted not at all as by the second day the pain was back. I also build scar tissue easily so I decided not to have any more. I think the injections, much like surgery don't work as well as we hoped or wished. Yet everyone is different. I have DDD along with herniated discs, and there is really no surgery for DDD, (degenerative disc disease) so why bother since if for some reason the surgery worked for 1 part of my problem it would not do anything for the other. After each injection I had a cortisone flare, (the pain increased not decreased ) and also where the injections were, my skin turned whiter than normal and stayed that way. Seems I had all the weird side effects one could have. Oh JOY! I would have a good long talk with my doctor about any concerns you may have and if in doubt make sure you have a second or third opinion. I wish you luck and success whatever your decision.
