I would make sure the doctor pays attention to this symptoms.  There are a lot

of things it could be, some serious, some not.  Do not let this go unaddressed!

I agree! Swelling means something. If you have been suffering the extremely

high temps we are having if may be related to that. I had my legs swell a

couple summers ago. They tested my kidneys which luckily were fine. The doctor

felt that it was hormonal and the heat. She gave me a water pill and they went

down to normal. Hope it is nothing serious. Gentle hugs, Tami

I mentioned this to my doctor's PA Friday when the swelling had just become

noticeable to me.  It's worse today and my skin feels taught.  It's not cold or

red and other than the skin feeling uncomfortable, there's no pain.

Anybody have a clue.  I go see my pain doctor tomorrow and will show her.  Maybe

she'll be more concerned than my regular doctor's office.

Please see your doctor asap. That is probably pitting edema in ankle. Have you

had a sudden weight gain?

This hot weather is enough to make any of us have some edema, but please see a

doctor, especially if you have gained 5lbs or more during the past week, or

less.

Please keep your leg elevated.

I saw my pain doctor today and she wrote orders for testing on my legs to see

that the veins and arteries are clear and functioning properly.  It is the first

time I ever say what " pitting " really looks like.  It is icky to see it on your

own leg.  Fingertip indentations that are pretty deep and stay visible for a

minute or more.

Thanks for everyone's good wishes and I will keep you updated.  It is just odd,

that both legs are not swelling.  I am unique that way though (laughs).

Thanks Kaylene, you always have great advise.  I am keeping it up, drinking

water, cut out the carbonated soda.  I have not gained anything according to the

scales at the doctor's office although I know my belly is bloated by the way my

pants are fitting.

I am going to get that test done tomorrow.

I've been checking the group mail off and on all day, specifically to

see if there was a message from you that needed clearing.

When you are able, please let us know how you are. I know I'm not the

only one who is worried about how you're doing.
