Guest guest
this actually a great topic. There are many feelings about it, even from the most pro BF women out there. I, for example knew that BF was best. I knew I would BF all my children. But only up to one year mind you. (That was before I even had babies.) Amber weaned at 9mos, but that was OK. When I got pregnant with Austin & went to LLL and saw 4 yr old children nursing, I was put off. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I had a 4yr old & could not imagine nursing her still. I have since changed my tune. While I still think 4yrs is a little extreme, you need to do what you need to do for YOU!! I will not in any form condemn, pass judgment or anything like that for those that nurse well into toddler hood. Who knows, they way Austin is going I may end up nursing a 4yr old. But when I was 22 & just married & thinking about a family there was no way in heck I would have said that. I remember when my sis-in-law nursed my niece until 2, I thought it was off. I now know very different!! I just thought I would throw out my 2 cents. I agree those girls in the chat room were wrong. Heck I don't even go there anymore, the cat fights were way to bad! Are you still on that mom loop w/strky & everyone???? Cristina
