Guest guest
I know many here have bpd nadas but a few of us have/had bpd fadas. While I spent a good deal of time in therapy working thru all the issues related to such I spent very little time working thru the issues related to enabling nada's behavior. Mine is still alive and approaching 90 years old and she continues her behaviors with my bpd sister as well as distorting realities past and present. I just have to tell the conversation I had with her today. I'm sure you will all get a laugh out of this. It shouldn't be funny but it is. While discussing my SO's son, who is probably bpd and a drug addict, we were talking about how violent he is. I (flirting with reality) mentioned that he reminded me of my (dead) fada. My nada then said, well your Father was never really too violent. We never feared for our lives. I said, well I do remember him putting the gun on the table when I was little. Nada said, (drum roll) " Well, he didn't do it too many times. " Yep, insane.
