Guest guest
Wanted to give an update on our scheduled Calmare Treatment. We have decided, instead of heading from Alabama to Connecticut, to go to Oklahoma to the Oklahoma Algiatry Group in Edmond, OK. The drive from our home will be right at 800 miles, as opposed to well over 1100 miles to CT. The doctor in OK is a Certified Calmare Treatment center, as opposed to the CT center not being certified. Gas prices are WAY cheaper along the route and in OK than in CT! And the stay in OK is WAY cheaper than in CT. The Homewood Suites, with a full size kitchen, in CT is $149.00 a night. In Edmond, OK, it's $105.00 a night. We'll be there for two weeks, so a full kitchen is a requirement, as we can't afford to eat out ALL of the time. Taco's, hamburgers, steaks cooked at " home " will be much cheaper. Oh, and let me add this! Oklahoma is a reciprocal state to Alabama, meaning I can CC my handgun(s) without worry! The contact person at the Oklahoma Algiatry Group has been very helpful, and forthcoming. My wife, with the CRPS, has had to do the contacting, as I've been working for 7 days, 12 hour shifts. The nurse/scheduler and been much more proactive than the place in CT. She even has tried to work out something with a local B & B to accommodate us for the two weeks out there. We've received more info from them in a few days than we've received from the place in CT over the last two months of planning this treatment.
