Hi Anne, WOW i have heard of screwed before but i think your MOM is right. We in

Ct have a station that has what they call the I-Team which does just this.

investigates these kind of bureaucratic, and Government mess ups and the minute

they get involved, things get better. You are dealing with ignorant people and

it will no nowhere. You call your local TV station and tell them your story and

ask who can help you and i bet you will be able to tell your story and make THEM

look stupid. Good luck. Cathie in Ct

Anne, I am sorry to hear you are getting such treatment from Medtronic about

the insurance. You would think they would take your advice so they could get

paid.

My endocrinologist is going to bat for me, they are applying for the pump

through medicare and when they get the denial, they'll send it to me and

I'll submit it to Terry's work so the other insurance will pay for it.

He said no matter what don't pay it and don't give it back (they couldn't

take it back and give it to someone else anyway because I have permanent MRSA

so " I'm contaminated " ). Works for me - always get a private room when

admitted, can't really give anything back I've used because of the MRSA. bummer!

Either way after all this I will never buy my supplies from Medtronic, I'm

going with one of the sites a friend sent me that sells Medtronic Insulin

Pump supplies. Because once my deductible is met my insurance will pay

again. But medicare has to be billed, deny it and then the 2nd insurance

will put it towards my deductible until its met then pay at 100% again.

All this BS just to get something that is saving my life! And actually

since starting on the pump my allergies are a little better, or I am MORE

STUBBORN and I haven't gotten steroids since Saturday December 3rd (a month

and 10 days b4 my pump was hooked up)

Thanks for all the support everyone!

Anne
