Guest guest Posted March 1, 2012 Report Share Posted March 1, 2012 Peggy here.....also on methadone as well as neurontin for sciatica. I have been on methadone for 2 years now. Prior to that I was on Duragesic patches, which I loved but could not qualify for their free service and still don't know why as nothing had changed from all the other years. But since time was running out I had to be on something so my doc suggested methadone. I know if I ever have to get off this it's going to be a long and very painful process so let's hope that I have this until I am no longer on this plane. I am pleased with the pain control I do get though, but I am so very bad about taking pills which is why I liked the patches, just slap it on and forget it. Celebrating now 25 years of chronic pain and looking back I have been very lucky with doctors and medication. I am grateful. We are having winter now in Michigan which always seems to happen, the closer to spring we get. This year though we have had a really mild winter and am grateful for that as well.
