Guest guest
Hi ya Anne, It was just the a Staph infection, No MRSA thankfully. And I am feeling 100% better thanks. As to your present situation with Medtronic's, I am so sorry for you. It's such a horrible feeling to have, knowing you've been screwed and there's little you can do about it. I have my own experience with Medtronic's and I wish I could tell you it was a good one, But it wasn't. There have been 2 different times since I've had my interthecal Pain pump where I've had to find a new doctor. One time my doctor took a teaching position on the west coast, and another time the Dr. that was doing my maintenance was an Iraqi, and he went back to his homeland to aid them during the war. Essentially they both left me to find a new doctor to maintain my pump. Much to my amazement, I had a very hard time finding a doctor to do this both times, And the saddest part of it to me was that when I reached out to Medtronic's, they were useless. Thankfully I was helped eventually by my PCP in finding someone new to do the pump maintenance. I don't know if it's the same with the Diabetes pump, But what I kept running into was an attitude of, " If they didn't install it, they wouldn't maintain it " . I'm very grateful that I'm with the group I'm presently with, as they have been brilliant. No Thanks to Medtronic's though! I know your case is different, I just wanted you to know that you're not the only one that's been screwed by Medtronic's. And that someone is Listening. Take care and be well, Hugs, Ron B. - NY > Anne wrote: So it was a staph infection in your leg? Was it MRSA??
