Guest guest
Yes, I had to see my doctor about my " Durable Power of Attorney " I talked to him about the diet I was on-the ketogenic diet- I was no longer in as much pain, my blood pressure was more normal, and my blood sugar was more controlled. I no longer needed any drugs. My doctor said if it was working for me-go for it. Some others said their doctor said " keep doing what you are doing-you are doing great " . They were on a similar diet. If you ask your doctor, and he says saturated fat is bad for the heart-let him see this saying high saturated fat-very low carb is good for the heart. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17824299 Sugar and its role in heart disease. http://www.beaumontenterprise.com/business/press-releases/article/DoctorsHealthP\ ress-com-Lends-its-Support-to-New-3455175.php There is some confusion on the differences between ketosis and ketoacidosis. I have read quite a lot on this because of being diagnosed with low blood sugar by a 5 hour glucose tolerance test. This is the best article I have read on the subject, written by Attia , MD http://waroninsulin.com/nutrition/is-ketosis-dangerous This doctor though, does not practice his medicine through his blogs. If you want, you can talk to your doctor about this. If your doctor does keep up with the latest research, and is not just trying to sell you drugs, and really care about how his patient gets along, then you may be able to talk to him about this. Thanks for looking after us. C. > Moderator's Note: Please see your doctor(s) before starting any of these suggestions. We are not physicians. There are several things referenced below that I personally would like to see more research before I would consider starting these treatments. Thanks.
