Guest guest
Hi Jen, I have the paperwork that my disability lawyer sent me but that only goes up to 2007 (and it is like a bucket full to carry) and the one place I did go to for pain meds I wasn't able to get them sent to my PCP's file for some reason and then I have to pay for all of the copies to have, which on a disability money is hard to do. I wanted them to start fresh, not what anyone wrote on me. Some of the files the doctors wrote I had read and what they described upset me. The one doctor I had seen after my husband left me the first time. He said in my file that when I saw him and described my pain I was smiling (knowing my luck I was trying not to think of what happened at the time, otherwise I have no clue why I would be smiling about it, I know I did cry in his office one time and he had to put me on anti-depressants at the time but told me it was a situational depression) and the notes my psychiatrist wrote down she described what I was wearing and a whole bunch of stuff.that I was amazed at what they wrote down. The one MRI my PCP had done on me didn't even cover my lower back and I wish she had done the whole part of my head, neck, shoulders, and back due to I have a shunt and every time I do an MRI I have to drive 2 hours to the place they have it and then have to have the neuro surgeons redo my shunt because of the brain tumor I had. My neurologist had only X-rays done on my neck at the time before my brain tumor and they couldn't figure out what was wrong then. I was seen by a doctor (rheumatologist) when I was 37 and he had told me at the time I didn't have fibro and that I was on too many medicines for my age. But that was before the brain tumor and the radiation and chemotherapy that I had gone thru in 2007-2008. Thank you for your advice and I will see what I can do in the next few days to get some of the records for me to look thru though if I can. G N. WI ps. I did plan on taking what medications I do have. I just didn't want to take my old methadone which works but I only take it when I appsolutely have to because of horrid side effects for me and i broke it in half too so I don't take as much. For some reason why if I say I horde my pain medication sounds bad because I am just meaning that I don't take my pills as prescribed because of 3 kids I have to take care of and try to take care of the house as best as I can. > , > > I would take EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you have!! Any old scans, tests, > results, med reports, etc and medicine. Bring what meds you have that > work and ad well as what doesn't work, regardless of how often you take > it. The more info you can give them, the better they can help you > (helpfully). >
