Guest guest
Hi Peggy, Thank you for posting this. I am a 49yo female. My doctor ordered an Ultrsound echocardiogram done on my heart about a week ago and my doctor only wrote me a letter in the mail. I called my doctor's office last Tuesday as I thought I would get a phone call at least. he receptionist told me my test results were " normal " . When I went to get my mail it was written that my test results were " basically normal " . When that is pertaining to your heart or any other vital organ " basically normal " doesn't do it for me. Sorry. I had 3 pieces of paper to read of what abnormalities they found in my heart. It was Sy Gallop, i think it is S4 Gallop also now. My doctor had noticed a third heart beat, I think that was why she ordered the tests. I have shortness of breath more too. Maybe it is because a little weight gain and out of shape? I am not a couch potato, darn it. This chronic pain sure will put me down though, I hate it. On the test results of which I get a little emotional reading so I do it when I am ready. I believe it said a part of my heart had gotten bigger because the exit had gotten smaller. On the form my doctor didn't even ask to see me and go over the test results. I know I just saw her lately and it all goes through the Oregon state insurance, OHP PLUS (DOCS) so I get less care. Sigh. I don't like messing with my heart though. I have cut back on some things I was eating. I used to eat like a bird, now I just eat like a bigger bird, lol. Thanks again Peggy, I will look these websites up.
