Guest guest
Happy everyone at least got a laugh today...as Charlie Chaplin would say " A day without laughter is a day wasted " .... Kerri - I did want to say also I hope you don't feel that everyone is saying you were wrong for the way you felt. Cause your not, everyone has to deal with things differently but you should know you are not alone and everyone has there dark days... just keep your head up. Its true , we have to try to see the amazing accomplishments our children do. My son used a spoon last night for the first time in a VERY long time (only did it once months ago). He NEVER made me even try to show him. And now he holds his bowl with his snacks and walks it to his table and I only had to show him twice and he learned it.... to me it's a miracle and it's not big to other people but to me and my husband, man if we can throw a party everytime something like that happens we would.... I really am thankful for you ladies today, as I said before I REALLY REALLY needed your remarks today. So thanks my peeps can I call you ladies my peeps LOL... since people I thought were friends and my peeps are no longer there...This board really makes me remember I'm not alone and out of my mind. I have no one else to really talk to, cause not many actually get it..man if I didn't have a computer I really would be screwed > > > > > It's funny, I sooooooo needed a " kick in the butt " from all of you! So THANK YOU!!!! It's funny how quickly we start to look at things with our kids in terms of what is wrong, what needs to get done, what needs to get fixed at the school, etc.. and then we miss all the progress our kids have made. > > > > A few months ago I was crying to a cowroker saying, I look at my NT children and am thrilled with all they've learned, I look at my ASD child and see all that needs to get done! It makes me sad. And although nothing is ever spoken I know he must be picking up on it too- that just sucks! > > > > So thank you for reminding me to keep an eye out daily for his progress, his accomplishments..... we reap what we sow! > > > > >
