His doctor wants me to keep him on it to help with inflammation for two or three more months. I think its a little pricey. We get ours from Lee Silsby. He hasn't gotten any rashes on his body but I do notice he gets a little sensitive when he takes it that particular day. He's learned over 120 words, knows his alphabet, numbers 1-12, can point and identify 20 animals could even read 20 words. I work with him 3 hours a day. I thank his DAN Doctors's for setting up a good vitamin & Enhansa protocal. I'm also greatful to all his Therapists, and especially to everyone in this Forum for taking the time to share their personal testimonials with us and also the power of prayer! We are starting with 75 mg and will be working up to 600. So far no real change but no negatives either. We use the powder and mix it into applesauce. He says he can taste it but barely and it isn't too bad. I tasted it (plain with no applesauce) and although it does have a unique flavor, it wasn't bad at all. I have heard a ton of mixed opinions on it when we started to research it. It seemed like you either love it or hate it. Lots of parents said they experienced some pretty major die off and had flu like symptoms, rashes etc... but Lee Silsby told me that if you start off slow (75mg 2x daily) it reduced the side effects and die off. After seeing that it's mostly tumeric, I wonder why I couldn't just add tumeric to my child's supplements. I cook alot of Indian food and have a huge supply that I bought from an Indian market for a very good price. Can anyone tell me what the difference is? Saved me over seventy dollars, and we have been seeing a lot of die off and many improvements in speech and just plain over all. Hope that helps! Guest guest Posted March 6, 2010 Report Share Posted March 6, 2010 Hi Kim, I was sooo not exact on this, but what I did was buy a package from the store which had 4oz of tumeric, and then a can of coconut unsweetened milk, and mixed them together. It was a little thick, so I added just a little water. My daughter is also 5, and about 50 pds. I started with 2 tsp daily, and just went up to 4 today. Sorry it's not specific, but my DAN said you can't have too much, but because of die off, don't ruch too much. I have had her on the first dose for a week. That's one of my biggest worries, that I'll accidentally hurt him and have him removed from my care. So I always do my homework. You know how ignorant people who aren't in our community can be. It was a little thick, so I added just a little water. My daughter is also 5, and about 50 pds. I started with 2 tsp daily, and just went up to 4 today. Sorry it's not specific, but my DAN said you can't have too much, but because of die off, don't ruch too much. I have had her on the first dose for a week. I feel like our kids have been hurt so much..just by eating and breathing all of these toxic elements that we can't avoid, so I am very careful as well =D You just want to go kinda slow because you don't want to make him miserable. As we all know, die off is just not fun =( I know with the real enhansa they say work up to full dose. I do give her epsom salt baths and that helps too. Yes, the ignorance of society truly is amazing! I hope is doesn't take autism to become1 in 2 before they get wiser.
