I used it with great success.

Hi,

I am new to this group I have a 3 1/2 yr. old little boy named who was diagnosed ASD in Oct/09.

He's been gfcf for about a month and a half now, also on supplements. I ordered the MB12 nasal spray recently, but haven't started him on it yet. Does anyone give their child the nasal spray? Any good results?

I am unable to do the the shots so I decided to try the spray for right now.

Thank you,

Salina :)

I ordered sublinguals and bought drops at the Vitamin Shoppe. I wasn't sure if my kids (3.5 & 5) would do ok on the nasal. The first week I noticed them doing more stimming stuff. By the second week, my 5 yr old Aspie was having better days at school (less tantrums), but my 3.5 year old boy was more active, escaping school, etc. He had a good few days of great behavior, and then I started a GF diet, and we are having more issues.

It could all be coincidence in his case, as he is a 3.5 year old boy, lol! (not dx'd on the spectrum, still investigating his issues)

You are doing a lot...I kept a journal, so that when I saw new behaviors or

negative things, I could look to see what changed or what I might have missed.

It's more work -- but definitely worth every minute. I have lots of

documentation and it helps tremendously. I also didn't tell certain people

(like his speech therapist, or Mom's day out teachers) so that I could get an

accurate read on behavior.

The first month is a blur of stuff...Detox is tough.

Hang in...it DOES get better. Like A LOT better.

My brother (25) doesn't repeat himself over and over and over...and when he

starts, I know what to do. When I am stumped, I check out the forum to see

what other parents/caregivers did. I have gotten SO much invaluable insight to

this disorder as it pertains to my kids and my my brother and excellent places

to start to " fix " some of the behaviors. Keep in mind, your children are

unique, what worked for some may not work for you -- but there are so many

different ways to go about this...and I have found I put it down as something to

try. (Even if it seems a little hokey...) -- so when plateau's, or something

seems to go awry, I've got a backup plan.

I've heard it's not " as good. " For us, it has brought " wows " so much, that my

son's nurse recommends it to all of her clients.

Even so, when we see our new DAN!, we are switching to shots - now that we have

nurses to administer. I'm a wimp, so I got the creme before.

We get the creme from Lee Silsby. Our DAN! wrote a scipt.

CGF

p.s. I had a friend who switched from shots at 1 pharmacy to shots from another

pharmacy and had even more gains.

Does anybody knows why my son has a pink diaper every time he receives the MB12 shot? I heard that means poor absorbation from the body but I wonder if I should quit the shots and give it to him by mouth. I mean if he is not absorbing it properly I probably should give it a try by mouth maybe that will do the trick.

Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Thank you

Are you giving the shot at an angle? go to Dr. Neubrander's website and read his instructions. To get the slow, three day release, you want to get it into the fatty tissue, not the muscle. The pink pee probably means you are getting the muscle. You want a shallow injection, not like you see nurses give vaccines where it is just a straight jab. When it goes in the mucsle, it gets absorbed all at once, and gets used for about 40min. and gets processed out quickly (pink pee). Most do shots because absorption of oral MB12 is so poor. Are you going in really shallow, 20 degrees or so? With my son I had to go in almost parallel to his skin to get the MB12 right in the little layer of fat that he had. He'd have a purple spot on his butt for about 2 days and as he used the MB12 it would get lighter and light. Pink urine usually means wasted MB12 and the first thing you should check is your angle on the shot.
