Guest guest
Hi my name is , I'm new to the group, this is my first query. My circumstances, Severe arthritis in Left Hip (no hip joint left) same for Right knee. In Jan of 01 had the first of 5 TKRS in Left knee. Had an infection that wouldn't go away. Finally resolved with an cement knee that was imbued with antibiotics. Many hospitalizations (total 6) Needless to say wiped me out, had to take early retirement (was 51 @ the time). Don't want to get too wordy here, summation: due to previous history of infections and being obese I can't get a Ortho surgeon to operate and replace hip or knee. I'm stooped over a walker, move at a snails pace. ALWAYS IN MUCH PAIN Lots of pain meds that are getting less and less effective. Part of the solution is to loose weight. I can't move to exercise, but can do pool. I'm working on that aspect. Anyone have solutions or like experience with different outcomes or some sort of feedback besides " You're screwed! " Thanks for all your help- G
