Guest guest
Did it eventually became a "normalized" day, without the naps? if so, how long did it last for? Did he become more agitated as well (more tantrums?). Also , yesterday he got a rash on his cheeks and nose and they both became very red ,this morning it was gone. I just thought that was weird because he only ate 100% GFCF foods and nothing new was added to his supplements. Thanks for answering , I am just so new to this that I am freaked out about everything still. My son became more tired whe n he first started the shots. He was taking 4 hour naps during the day. We never had hyperactivity as a side effect. Guest guest
You are right about that! I have had my share of my kiddo jumping off every single piece of furniture and going on and on like the Duracell bunny...lol. Ok, good , so it seems that he is not the only one reacting this way. Sorry to keep bugging you but I have a few more questions. How long did you keep doing the shots for? What ultimate effects did they bring? Was your son high in Vaccine titers prior to the MB12? What about after? I am doing Valtrex/MB12. His vaccine titers (specially Rubella and Hep B. were really high...can't remember exactly but something like 14.2 (when immune showed something like 0.99) He was tested for B12 and was deficient in it. God, I just had so much testing done that my head is still spinning from understanding the results. Anyway, if you could please help me find answers to my questions, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Yes, his day normalized out after a couple weeks, he was only 17 months when we started so he went back to his old nap schedule. He did seem to become more aggitated also and it went away farely quickly too. He began to mouth things more too for a while. I think his agitation was from whatever he was feeling in his mouth. From time to time my son gets the red cheeks too, I also thought it was an allergy, but I think it is a detox reaction of some sort. If it only lasts a couple hours, I wouldn't worry about it. I actually think it is a good sign now --- a sign that he is detoxing. Hang in there, side effects can last up to a couple months. Your sons reaction sounds similar to mine. I would rather have a sleepy kid than a hyperactive one! Sleeping is a good thing when the body is detoxing. Guest guest
Hi, I have been doing 2x only . I have a prescription for diflucan and nyastin but I kind of wanted to wait and see what the mb12/valtrex would do. Shall I intro the diflucan and/ or nyastin without waiting? Thanks Sent from my iPhone MB12 can kick up yeast. How long have you been doing the shots? Guest guest
We are still doing the shots, it has been about a year. We never had any big wows but I feel that the shots do help in subtle ways with his detoxing. He has steadlily improved with all the biomed we are doing. I did not realize that you are also doing Valtrex? Did you start Valtrex at the same time as the MB-12? It would probably be best to space the start of these two therapies out as each of them can have some pretty significant side effects and it will be hard to tell what is working and what is not working. Typically a child would do MB-12 therapy first for about 5 weeks before starting another therapy. MB-12 is support for the methylation pathway which may help with viral titers but the Valtrex is probably what your doctor is using for the viral issues going on with your son. If you started the Valtrex at the same time as the MB-12 either one of the therapies could be causing the tiredness, aggitation in your son. When we did Valtrex , my son had high rubella titers, he also became lethargic and moody. He also got the red cheeks with the Valrex. So that may be the reason for the red cheeks. You also need to be doing some sort of yeast control while on Valtrex, Diflucan works well. Yeast overgrowth will start to happen with this therapy VERY quickly. This could also explain the crankiness and spaciness. I would suggest not starting both therapies at the same exact time. That is way tooooo much for a little body to handle. And for a mother to handle too. I would get in contact with your doctor and he should help you come up with a reasonable treatment plan in writing for your child. It doesn't sound like the plan you have right now is a realistic one, that both you and your child can handle. It will be almost impossible to tell what therapy is causing what reaction right now. Again, my advice would be to hold off on the Valtrex for about 5 weeks. Hope this helps, hang in there, I know how confusing this can be. Google Dr Neubrander MB/12 therapy and Stan Kurtz valtrex therapy for more info on each of the therapies. You will get lots of info. Guest guest
Do you have a DAN doctor? What did he/she suggest? We do MB12, as well. At the initial onset of administering MB12, we waited 6 weeks before introducing any additional biomedical treatment. When you decide to use an anti-fungal, I would highly recommend Diflucan (as opposed the the Nystatin. Diflucan treats yeast in the gut, brain, lymph and blood. Nystatin will only treat the gut.Subject: Tired after MB12 ShotsTo: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. comDate: Friday, March 12, 2010, 2:01 PM Hi , I am new to this forum.
