Hi,Last Friday, my son (3.5, not dx'd with anything, extremely hyper, younger sibling to my 5 yr old Aspie daughter) had an " amazing " day at school, after a week of improvement. Then this weekend he was out of control like he had been for a while (before last weeks' turnaround) Since we are planning to go gluten-free " soon " anyway, I just figured I'd start him on it.

Monday, he had another great " amazing " day again at school. Now, today, he was off-the-hook!!! He tried to escape again (last week he didn't; the previous two weeks he was doing it) - which he mastered thru the art of diversion - he knocked over a bowl of craft macaroni and when the teacher went to clean it up, he bolted for the door. WTH! Then later it was clean up time, and he didn't just ignore her, he freaked out and threw a block at her and hit her.

This afternoon at dance class he was a big goofball, which is understandable because it was parents' day to observe, and I had the camera, and that always means goofiness for him. At karate class he was also extra distracted.

At home, he picked a fight with his sister, was oppositional with me and then bit his daddy. He has never done *that* before. Now I have heard of yeast die-off reactions and all, but did not expect this on day TWO. Plus we haven't removed dairy yet, so I didn't expect anything at all really.

I know today is a busy day for him, and he did have a nap. For the record I am not one of " those " over-scheduling mommies, it just so happens his karate class just started up and it's two nights a week, and the darn thing falls on the same night as dance... which has been his only extra-curricular thing since Sept. We have a pretty kicked-back schedule the rest of the week.

Anyway, do you think it's just a coincidence or could it really be the negative effect of the change in diet already? Should I add in the extra probiotic tomorrow (extra as in powder probiotic from Vitamin Shoppe, not just the Kefir I put in his smoothies)??
