Guest guest
Luz, We have been successfully using Houston Nutricuticals digestive enzymes for years the help with his overall digestive breakdown/support...we use the TriEnza (for proteins, carbs, fats & phenols). We also are high nutrient (low anti-nutrients...no preservatives/dyes/MSG/nitrates/hydrogenation), mainly organic, GF/CF, low sugar, low phenols. He's doing so much better now that I'm able to not be as strict with the diet during social situations and with enzymes we can have infractions with no adverse side effects. I still stay the course with as much whole nutrient rich foods for his better overall health. I do lean toward food as healing in our routine. We do things like " smoothies " which my whole family loves (the neighbor kids too) with whole unsweetened cranberries (anti-bacterial properties), carrots, pineapple, whole celery stalks, fresh lemon and/or limes (for anti-bacterial properties). Over the years we have used several different liver & kidney supports. The best list I can think to give you is from Dr Amy Derksen's TACA Powerpoint presentation (copied directly from her slides): " Supporting the Kidneys This organ is an absolute must to support if you are chelating metals!!! – Renelix by Pekana – M Water – Unda 243 – BioPure Matrix Electrolytes added to all fluids – Burdock or Dandelion tea – Nestmann Solidago tincture – Acupuncture/ Neural therapy/ Laser – K-Drain by Transformation Enzymes – Emergen C added to liquids – Tapping on K27 whenever taking supplements – Cilantro rubbed topically over the kidneys Liver Support (Suspect this is needed when the bowels are sluggish and your child is not tolerating any medications and is sensitive to most supplements and foods) – Dandelion Root – Ultrathistle (milk thistle product that is easier to absorb) – Liver Life by BioRay (www.bioray2000.com) – Castor oil packs over the liver with heat for up to 50 minutes daily – Coffee enemas, especially when Herxing (not on very young children) – Ensuring regular bowel movements – Treating candida/yeast – Phosphatidyl Choline and Glutathione – Designs for Health PaleoCleanse or Amino D-tox – Laser " Dr Amy is speaking at the LIA conference coming up in April, she's always fantastic! Here's more info on the " From Roadblocks to Recovery " conference: http://lymeinducedautism.com/roadblockstorecovery.html > > > > > > > > > > > > We had a microbial stool test done for our son and it wasn't > > surprising that he had moderate levels of yeast, but he also had an > > overgorwth of hemolytic e.coli (ack!) and alpha hemolytic strep in > > the " imbalance " category, plus in the past we had an OAT done that > > had high markers for clostridia. > > > > > > > > > > > > The test results suggested Nystatin as the highest > > responding treatment (which he is on already, but we weren't using > > at the time) with the next few in the mid-range were berberine, GSE > > and Caprylic acid.
