Starting MB12- dosing questions

I have wanted to start Methyl B12 for some time now and finally purchased some. Being that I live in a small town in maine, I had limited options. I purchased "NOW" brand MB12 100mcg Lozenges.Any idea where I can find info on dosing? My daughter is 4. My husband and I would also like to take it.We thought about getting RevitaPops, but our daughter doesn't like sweets, so she would never finish a pop= and the amount of MB12 in a pop is over 3,000mcg...Any ideas?

for oral mb12 it takes *a lot* for proper absorption. Shots typically start at about 1250 mcg and are given every 3 days. Some go higher and more frequent. You can't OD on MB12 so you can take what works for you. Go up as you feel you need. The pops are so high because absorption is low in oral.

You can also buy Methyl Mate from new beginnings. Liquid and can be used as a nasal spray if you ask for the sprayer in the comments. 2.5 sprays = Rx dose. Since a half a spray is virtually impossible, you can use either 2 or 3 sprays. We started out doing 2 sprays every other day and eventually ended up on daily sprays.

While you can't technically OD on Mb12, I did give my 3.5 year old son (37 lbs) 5000 mcg sublinguals and he went berserk. Bit people (never been a big biter), throwing furniture and licking the floor. Uh yeah, so um, we are giving him 500 mcg a day now (sublingual drops not tablets)

My 40 lb daughter tolerates 5000 mcg sublingually with only a slight attitude problem. She is the one dx'd on the spectrum, my son just seems to be ADD/ADHD (not dx'd with anything other than febrile seizures)

We have ordered our m-b12 online. I got the mb12 sublingual drops at The Vitamin Shoppe retail store in town, too.

Absolutely, as with anything you should still always start at a lower dose and work your way up. We had to go up for a while and the we were good at that particular dose for a while and then had to start lowering until it was eventually phased out.
