Guest guest
I hope this message finds everyone well and having as pain free a day as possible. I have a few questions for the wheelchair users in the group; specifically: How did you know it was time to stop pushing through the agony of walking and start using a wheelchair? How were you fitted for your wheelchair -- did you go to someone or a place to be fitted? How did you determine which wheelchair was best for you? I practice the " if you don't use it, you lose it " mantra and try to keep active, etc. However, walking and standing are becoming so much more painful, especially since my last procedure. I know my PM Dr is not going to be supportive of this idea when I bring it up to him at my next visit. But, I may not have any other options. I'm not going to do anything until I finish with the IVIg infusion with Dr Schwartzman in Philadelphia -- assuming I am accepted and approved for the protocol (going on Monday to Philadelphia for tests). But, I just wanted to have my ducks in a row, so to speak, with the information I need. As always, thanks so much for your feedback and support -- I greatly appreciate it! Be well, Jen
