This was one of the hardest things I had to deal with, on top of trying to keep them in her ears. Now she wears them all the time and the difference in her speech now to when she was constantly pulling them out is amazing. There is a book that I believe Kay recommended to me a while back and it was Falicating Hearing and Listening in Young Children. By Carol Flexer, P.H.d. It really explains in depth the importance of ampflication even with a mild loss. This book is extremely informative and has a wealth of imformation in it, for any parent with a young child with hearing loss. I went to a seminar today with Carol Flexer as the speaker and she stated that she aids children with a 20db hearing loss and the importance of it. You can order it through the Listen Up Bookstore Just thought I would share this with you.
