Guest guest
My Goodness Vance: That is slip sod nursing. I know because I am a nurse, as are many friends. If this was a pervasive treatment, I'd call a time out and demand to view my medical records on the spot. I have seen ill treatment as a result of erroneous entries in charts. Guest guest
Thanks Eileen, This was in 2005 and when I got out my leg was still hurting and my mind wasn't clear. I was going through a lot of family problems. It's too late now isn't it. They treated me like dirt. Vance Eileen wrote: That is slip sod nursing. I know because I am a nurse, as are many friends. Guest guest
Aw Vance, I am so sorry that happened to you. It was so very wrong. Even an actual drug addict, of which you obviously are not, should be treated with respect. That is the bottom line. As far as legally, it likely would be difficult to take action, yes. You do still have some choices about the matter, however. Irregardless of the passage of time, it would still seem entirely prudent to address a letter to the Director Of Nurses at the hospital. It is clear to me that the situation is both still bothersome to you and that you still have the ability to make a detailed description of what took place. There would be no harm in a well written letter. Sometimes letters lead to changes in hospital policies. Lastly, and most importantly, resolve within yourself to speak up should you receive any ill treatment in the future. Nobody is always on top of their game, so don't beat yourself up about how you handled it at the time. There was a lot going on then. We're all human.
