What a perfect subject...thank you my buddy (antcindee) for referring me to

this list. I am 5ft 7, 37 y/o, still 243 - 45 lbs. I am currently at 100%

on my insurance so want to see if I can get the tummy tuct and breast lift

approved but IM debating...know I need to lose bout 50 more (my surgeon feels

I have bout 30 lbs of skin overall....am hoping to have the surgery the last

possible day in DEC and hope to lose another 30 lbs at least by then ...but

who knows. Has anyone had the tummy tuck before theyve lost all the weight

and then lost more? I don't know am seeing two or three surgeons in the next

few weeks for consults... I figure all together I will need bout 8 surgeries

and lipo (tummy, breasts, arms, thighs, chin) so am hoping to get a multiple

surgery rate...and ideas..comments...experiences.

Hi everyone...

I am 19 months post op (gastric bypass in Phila.) and have lost 182

lbs. I had a tummy tuck in Feb '99 and had a bad infection which re

required four more trips to the operating table to get cleaned out and

closed. All is fine now and I am contemplating having my arms and chin

done. Has anyone had this done and what were your results...I'm most

interested in knowing...Thanks.

You can see a few good tummy tuck pictures at www.personique.com It also

has a lot of breast stuff as well.

This is the place that did my facelift a month ago. Ouch.

Remember that you do not want to be in the hospital when those computers

roll over---no discussion of Y2K please...we have all heard enough. I'd

shoot for mid-November if you want to do it this year.

I had my RNY on 7/30/98, and an abdominalplasty on 12/29/98.

I wanted it done prior to the end of the year for the EXACT

same reasons you stated!!! :)

I started at 250 lbs. and was at 155 lbs at the time of the

TT. A very good weight in my opinion, and the Dr. stated he

thought I would lose about 20 more before it was all over.

He took off about 4lbs of apron, and due to lots of

antibiotics for cellulitis, and not being able to stomach

food for a month after, I immediately lost another 15 lbs.

I now weight 129.

That is a loss of 26 lbs since my TT. My doctor warned that

my skin would loosen up with any additional weight loss, but

I've been incredibly pleased even with the minor loosening.

I do think that with the consults you have planned you

should be able to get a good idea of what to expect.

My pictures are in Shared Files at Onelist, maybe they will

help you decide.

Are you in the southeastern US, possibly GA? If so we may have had

our surgery on the same day. Aug 4, 98? Carolyn
