Hi Christy

Don't forget the insane weather we're having in B'ton. The heat index

right now is 109F (43C). Even being indoors with the air on so much can

mess with a body.

I've been in and out of my hot car all day today. I had meetings this

morning and home visits to make this afternoon. Right now, I'm in what

" feels " like a cool office, but I've got an ice pack around my neck and

two fans running on me.

I could easily end up face-planted on my keyboard today. Since May, the

waves of tiredness have been washing over me, several times a day. I

don't sleep well at night as it is, so I do my best not to have any kind

of lay down in the daytime, but sometimes if I don't sleep for an hour,

I can't even think straight.

Maybe you and I should get together and do a rain dance. This drought

and horrid heat is hurting all the animals even more than it's hurting

most people. We've deer and a pond and a creek behind our office

building. We've been hauling pails of water out for the deer, as the

pond and the creek are bone dry. Now the foxes and groundhogs, which we

rarely see, are showing up looking for water too.

We two legged animals are very fortunate that we have opposable thumbs

and taps that work.
