Guest guest
Moderator's note: If anyone can help , please contact him privately. Kaylene I suffer from multiple intractable pain conditions, including cancer pain. For over a year, I was on OTFC (generic Actiq), but since the REMS program was instituted, my PCP will no longer prescribe it. Actually, I've been without Actiq 1200mcg lozenges since January 2012. My oncologist wrote two 15 day prescriptions for Actiq 800mcg back in May 1, 2012 and May 16, 2012. I have my last Actiq in my hand right now and I'm desperately trying not to use it. I REFUSE to go to the ER for another pain flare. Does ANYONE know of any doctors (pain management, PCP, oncologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, etcetera) in Pennsylvania who might prescribe Actiq, Fentora, Onsolis, Abstral, Lazanda, or any injected opioids? Preferably a doctor that takes PA Medicaid (ACCESS, not the HMOs). They have to take Medicaid or Medicare or charity cases. NOTHING has helped with the BTP, but the REMS program has successfully scared every doctor that I've talked to away from prescribing fentanyl. I NEED something more than three Norco 10-325 or 180mg oxycodone for relief. The oral opioids aren't helping me and I'm desperate for relief*.* Steve M in PA
