Guest guest
Hi. I'm very new to this type of community, so please forgive any breach of netiquette. I've had pancreatitis for about 7 years; no one is quite sure why. I don't drink alcohol (except maybe a glass or 2 of wine per month), & never had gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed after years of abdominal pain & finding " sludge " in the gallbladder on ultrasound. The pancreatitis attacks started 6 months after gallbladder removal. I've had pancreatic duct openings enlarged, stents placed, various medicines; live on a very low fat diet. I take pancreatic enzymes with every meal. Attacks are pretty unpredictable. I keep checking medical literature often, but haven't seen any wonderful new advances. I am fortunate enough to be able to work part-time & pretty much carry on a sort-of-normal life. I keep busy with yoga classes when I'm not working, 3 dogs, a husband, & active grandchildren (NOT in that order). I'd love to hear from some of you. ;> jsg
