Hello to all! Just want to thank everyone for their replies and

prayers. I was released from the hospital on Sunday, April 27 and am

doing well.

I am suffering from severe nausea but was prescribed Zofran for it yesterday. I

just couldn't take it anymore. The Doctor thinks it is because I had two

surgeries so close together, within 36 hours of each other.

My back is still quite swollen in the area of where the hematoma was and it

worries me a bit. It is so hard and looks really disgusting.

My 3 year old won't hug me because she saw it and is afraid of it so with the

mind of a child she associates it's ugliness to me. That really hurts my heart

but I can't be to upset, she is a little spirit that can't reason these things

in her mind so. I do miss her little hugs though.

I will say that I do feel a difference in the overall strength in my

back now. There was an area near the L5-S1 where the plate was loose

and my doctor reinforced that site and I feel the difference!

Hopefully, this will be the end of my continued pain and other

issues. I seem to stand up straighter as well. Also, having those

darned screws and rods out makes a HUGE difference too! I could feel

them through my skin before the surgery and they were rubbing on my

muscles constantly. OUCH is all I can say.

I am still very upset about the nurses how removed my drain tube

early causing me to have to endure that extra surgery. I just don't

understand how they could have thought that it would be okay to do so

without prior authorization from my surgeon!

It hadn't even been 24 hours since my first surgery. I am sure my back wouldn't

look/feel as bad as it does now if they would have done things right.

The nurses involved never even apologized to me. I only heard from

others how bad they felt. Have no idea if they were reprimanded or

not. I feel they should be but that is not mine to worry about now.

What's done is done and I am seemingly fine now.

I continue to keep all of you in my prayers and hope that someday, we

will all find our way to being pain free. I have been blessed to have this

group in my life and even if I end up healing to a degree of the above mentioned

condition, I will always be a member to try to give hope, understanding, and

comfort to those who need it.

Yours Truly,

Janeene
