Guest guest
Hi Gill, Glad to hear you're managing to avoid THR at the moment. Hope your op in April went well and you're not in pain. What hospital were you in? I had my operations for CHD on both hips when I was about 1 1/2 and they worked well for many years. However, my left hip ended up being pretty useless with extremely limited movement, bad pain etc and my pelvis and spine had got completely out of line. Anyway, Mr Field has performed what I consider a miracle. No more hip pain, my pelvis is now where it should be and my spine is now back in line. What more could I ask for!!! All I can say is don't worry about having to have THR, the thought of it is a lot worse than the reality believe me!!! Take care and hope to hear from you soon Nicola small world! hi Nicola, a fellow hippy from the TotallyHip website alerted me to your message.I am also a patient of Mr Field, I had an Open Cheilectomy in April this year to remove osteophytes and other excess bone from around the head of my left femur: this is a rare op, I am told only Mr Field does them. The op was to delay THR but I will have to have one: the question is when??? I had CHD in left hip and surgeries when I was 2, I'm 38 now and I live near Sutton.Anyway would you like to chat more??? Gill > > Hi Jo, > I'm Nicola, I'm 35 and live in Anerley in South London, UK.
