Tooth ache relief?

In addition to all the normal pain, last night a tooth decided to act up. It is

one I had filled a month ago. Last night I ate popcorn and popcorn is not my

friend. I must have either chipped the tooth or loosened the filling.

Of course it had to be a back molar. By the time I played with a pick and

mirror trying to find just where the problem was and tried to put some temporary

filling material in the offending gap, my TMJ flared up too. Both are screaming

at me.

I did get some benzocaine cream to rub on the gums, which helps more than clove

oil. Heat also helps. Cold makes it all much worse. Which is good. If the

tooth needed cold and my TMJ needs always needs heat, I'd have to pick which

pain I wanted to aggravate more. Not that I haven't had to make choices like

this in the past.

Mostly I'm just complaining. But if anyone has any suggestions to get me

through until Monday please suggest.

Thanks

Ambesol, coat it with ambesol, don't pick at it as it probably is swollen where

you picked (how do I know that ? ). Rinse with salt water to assist in the

swelling. Use your toothbrush to get kernals out.

I laid in bed with my tooth brush for two hours until I got that booger out,

that kernal drove me nuts. The swelling went down, pain better.

Crush a Motrine and swish it. Good Luck, I love popcorn also. *Tiger Balm cream

helps me on skin and to help localized pain. (they have patches also)
