My surgeon kind of made a joke of it....implied that it was most likely related to my drinking alcohol. The doctor that took the blood said that it was not an elevation to be worried about...but I thought I would share this with you just the same. I will definitely be watching it for next blood workup...and have stopped drinking alcohol totally. peace......baron
Guest guest
I used to give blood and finally quit, because the Red Cross would always tell me I had hepatitis and then panic me , only to have my Doc. at Mayo check me out and tell me I was fine. No offense to anyone at the Red Cross, but their testing has had some problems. I would bet you are fine, and the test was maybe ultrasensitive. I have heard of the cirrhosis thing, but I would not get excited about what the blood banks says, they did that to me too many times.....
