,

You asked about when you'd get released from

Sinai after surgery with Dr. Mont for conserve +.

It depends. Some people are released after 3 days

in the hospital. I met approximately 10 of Dr.

Mont's patients when I was there. All the knee

replacements except 1 left after 3 days. The 1

that stayed had a lot of pain so went to rehab

first. The femoral head resurfacings all left

in 3 days. I saw a couple of the conserve +

patients (Hi Hal!) leave in only 3 days.

I was totally wiped out and did 3 days in the hospital

and another 5 in the rehab unit. My conserve + surgery

was very long and complicated, I puked my guts otu for

2 days straight afterwards, had 2 blood transfusions.

Another conserve + woman I know (Hi Sue!) also had

complications and did the same.

So you just can't predict. Once in the rehab unit my

husband was allowed to sleep in my room on a cot. They

also have a washer and dryer, which he used. As for

hotel accommodations, other people have better advice on

that than I did.

We did fly in and out of the Baltimore airport, and got

a rental car. Very confusing to get bearings. Goto

www.MapsOnUs.com and get step-by-step route ahead of time.

Best,
