Guest guest Posted May 16, 2008 Report Share Posted May 16, 2008 I am in what they call a catch 22, for you see I am currently rated at 60% though the Veterans Affairs Department 20 percent for my left knee 20 percent for my right hip 10 percent for my lower back 10 percent for my tinnitus " Ringing in the ears " to the V.A this isn't hearing lose 0% rating for hearing lose but it is rated that there is hearing lose just not high enough to get payment for it Hearing lose to the V.A when they pay out it is total deafness I am also rated 10 percent for my nerve damage but I am not paid for it cause they claim its part of my knee problem I placed a claim for what they call Unemployability due to my service connected disabilities 18 months ago So you see because the V.A pays out a claim to me for my injuries I must use the V.A. first or get there permission to seek out side medical care and there not willing to farm out Veterans to outside care because they would lose the money that the government pays me for my medical care and yes my sons our the joy of my life without them I don't know what id do, they totally understand that dad's not the normal dad due to this we play chess, checkers, online games there teaching me how to be computer smart.
