Guest guest
Thanks nne! I'll keep my eyes and ears open for a durable dog...get an Elkhound like Jo...he's awesome and VERY active!!! Exercise Hi All, Just to add my 2 cents. I have increased my walking to 3 miles per day. I walk at first break at work for 1 mile in 20 minutes and at lunch we can go 2 miles in 1/2 hour...up and down hill! We have even broken our time goals as we have to punch a clock at lunch so it gives us some goals. I tried to fit exercise into my everyday schedule and walking with a friend at breaks at work gets me out into the fresh air every day. Also, at this time of year with the lack of sunshine I tend to want to do nothing when I get home after work...I almost want to go to bed and hibernate! I am also starting to hike trails around the New Hampshire area. I want to do some SERIOUS hiking in the spring and next summer. I am also looking for anyone else who would be interested. There are hikes that can be done with children as well. A few weeks ago I took my daughter with my granddaughter in a backpack and hiked uphill around a 2 mile trail. The views were beautiful! I am also trying to find a puppy to hike with. Right now it is a tough decision for me as I have always owned Great Danes, and I still do, but now I am thinking of getting a more durable dog for hikes, such as a golden retreiver...so anyone out there who knows of a good breeder or anyone wishing to find a home for puppies, let me know. I also wanted to wish Dawn a belated happy 30th Birthday! Congratulations Dawn! hugs to all, nne in NH ......................................................... iWon.com http://www.iwon.com why wouldn't you? .........................................................
