Guest guest
Hi, . I don't think I said anything about pressure points... if I did I was in error. I do sleep better on my Sleep Number though. I have a lot of issues still though, and have to sleep with a pillow from between my knees down to my ankles (because of lower back pain). My shoulders are terrors because of arthritis, tendon problems and because they're attached to my neck so I sleep with a medium sized pillow from my chest out so that whatever arm is on top is supported, with the hand on my head pillow. (don't know if you can get that visual). I also have to use firm, dense foam pillow for my head (not memory foam) and have two densities of that: one for most nights, and a slightly softer one for when my headache is real bad. I know, I know: if the bed is so great, why do I need all those pillows? Well, I had to use the pillows before I got the new bed and I hurt a lot worse when trying to sleep before the new bed. I don't have pain from my hip touching the mattress; rather, my hip just aches and isn't any worse because of the bed. Does that make any sense? It might sound trivial but as so many people have said, if it helps at all I'm gonna try it. (smile) You know, I'm not real sure of the " pressure point " definition either. I have a problem with my ankles: if I have socks on and cross my ankles over each other everything is fine. If I do the exact same thing with no socks, it hurts to high heaven. Maybe that's not what they mean. Have you talked to your doc about these sore, red areas? Are the chronic headaches from something wrong in your neck? That's what mine is from. I can't sleep on my back at all; it kills my back and knees. My low back can't handle the recliner when it's acting up because of the gap where your fanny meets the chair. I find the pillow between the knees works much better for me and tried several types until I found the right one. Well, as usual I've written a book! I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question sufficiently, or if I actually did mention pressure points and just don't know what the heck I'm talking about. You've got to post more--it sounds like you've got some real pain and, if nothing else, a lot of sisters and brothers here in the same boat. all best to you, --- Washington State wrote: > My question is: do these sound like pressure points, or am I completely misunderstanding what you are talking about?
