I am having more pain in my mid back due to degenerative disk disease.

Anyone know about a possible brace I could use for this? It's just at the

level of the bottoms of my shoulder blades.

FOr helping with depression, 's right. Do something fabulous for

My doctor prescribed me to wear a corset type back brace. It goes from the

bottom of my breasts to my low back and it has 2 steel bars that run up the back

of it. I didn't find it to be too helpful for my low back because it constantly

slips up and then it isn't supporting my low back anymore, but i could see

something like that helping for mid-back pain. I'm not sure what its called.

something like a 2 steel brace. Not sure. You might have to do some research.

hope i could help a little.

I had the same kind of problem with the corset with and without steel

braces. besides riding up every time I moved. It helped my back only when I

was laying down, but squeezed my hips tight and made my hips and sacrum

hurt.

I think those things are made for people who have NO CURVES! Getting a

custom-made one wasn't covered by my insurance unless I ended up in

traction, and the doctor specifically orders it. I bet a traction belt would

have worked for me in the first year of my back pain issues.
