Guest guest
>It`s sort of nice to know that we don`t have to leave here at 4 in the morning since we have animals to feed outdoors, and a 50 mile drive. But just like me I see it as more time to worry and wonder. I will be staying for a 23 hour observation. Just hope they take me out of the surgical ward and let me have a decent bed. Gosh why do we do this to ourselves Worry Worry. Hi Good luck with your surgery today. Be sure to take something to read, or keep you occupied while you wait. They rarely run on time. I don't recall why you have to give up your pain management doctor. It certainly is a shame that you must loose such a wonderful one. Your needs will be met better by the nursing staff on a surgical ward, but it won't hurt to ask about it. Many hospitals have changed to mattresses that have a type of memory foam mattress, which should be comfortable. They also have small, but private rooms. The doctor should also prescribe something mild to help you relax and rest. Once again, ask the nurse, and the doctor. The nurse will be able to check your post-op orders to see if the doctor wrote for it. I have had to remember many, many doctors about medication(s) that they promised the patient but forgot to write it. Anyway, be safe, and try to relax. Take many slow, deep breaths. Try to think about anything positive. Sing happy songs out loud, or in your head. My thoughts will be with you today. Kaylene
