Guest guest
During chemotherapy when I had a brain tumor they told me to make sure I took stool softener and some senna, so now I feel like I am dependent on 2 pills of the mix and 3 pills of the softener, but I have been like this since I was a baby so everything else like milk or my pain meds make it way worse. Guest guest
Moderator's note: Here is a about of information about Kondremul: http://www.kondremul.com/ Stool softeners don't help at all for me when I'm constipated. If I'm going to be taking opiates for a while I get a bottle of an old-fashioned mineral oil laxative called Kondremul. The pharmacy needs to order it, though it isn't prescription. It isn't great for you because the mineral oil can leach out oil-soluble vitamins, but it works and I don't think using it here and there would hurt. Long term, probably the best thing for me is a big bowl of stewed prunes, a mug of strong coffee, and a walk with the dogs every morning. If you really hate prunes (they do taste peculiar, don't they?) I've found that stewed apricots work too. --- B/MI wrote: > > During chemotherapy when I had a brain tumor they told me to make sure I took stool softener and some senna, so now I feel like I am dependent on 2 pills of the mix and 3 pills of the softener, but I have been like this since I was a baby so everything else like milk or my pain meds make it way worse.
