well, all's well again. talked to dr. c and dr. n for a long time about what

really happened. dr. c was concerned about dr. d's reputation as arrogant and

super-elitist. so he called her for a short convo and it was dr. d who said

that she didn't feel i needed

a rheumatologist and that i should be sent to a pain management doc.

it was dr. c who decided that dr. d was definitely not the right rheumatologist

for me and after talking to dr. n it was decided that they would work on finding

me another one with a better bedside manner who is not so full of themselves and

not willing to dismiss me out of hand.

what a relief to find that dr. c is still on of the good guys and isn't going to

send me to pain management. so now i have an appt on 2-5 with a rheumatologist

hand picked by both of my doc's. yay!

I want to thank john/new york, tipper1207, sweet goat mama, kathy in mn and

eileen for your helpful, caring words. but a special thank you to bonnadel who

wrote:

thank you for these wise, wise words. i will try to remember them as i go about

my days. i am so thankful for all of you here.

on another note, i have asked my husband to lock my meds (and my personal gun)

in his gun locker and not give me the key. he hands my daily meds to me in the

morning and then i'm not tempted, at some despairing moment, to take a

bottlefull or to seek out the " comfort " of my .44 special when i'm not in my

right mind due to the depression.
