De,

From what I've read, canola, soy and safflower are all not good choices. I stopped using any mayo at all myself 'cause I couldn't find one that didn't either have carbs or preservatives. I know mayo is yummy and easy.... and it's what is used to. No simple answers, darn it.

hain's safflower mayo or other mayo suggestions

This oil discussion has me thinking again. I know Ireally need to get off the Spectrum Canola Mayo. She gets a ton of it and I keep reading awful thingsabout canola. Does anyone have the numbers/1,000 gfor Hain's Safflower Mayo? I know we were bouncingthis around awhile back and I don't believe anyoneever heard back from them. I'd like to try togradually switch over from the canola to thesafflower. I'm looking at the Hain's, but if anyoneelse has recommendations, I'm open. 's sensitiveto soy (not seizures -- just dark circles under hereyes and lots of itchiness) -- so those mayos are notan option.--D__________________________________________________

I now use "Dukes" mayo...it is as near to homemade as you can get, so they say....I found out about it when I spent a week at Hopkins with their dietician and they supply keto kids free !!!! all you pay is shipping....Don't quote me on it to them just incase !!! but just say someone at Hopkins told you they ship for keto kids and only charge shipping.

Well worth a try, they ship to me in London and I only have to pay shipping.

Call ; 1 ask for Glenda

Hope this helps

Debbie mum to keto kid since May 2001

I heard safflower is good from someone who uses Kanes

protocol. What did you hear about it being bad? I use it for Jen

and

can't get the company to respond to me with numbers bor 100g. anyone

have a good dietition who will ask them? Mine won't.

Why is soy bad? I have a child (not my keto kid) who is allergic

(we think) to milk - he throws up every time he eats anything with milk

as an ingredient. Anyway I was told to put him on soy. Is it

bad in general or just for the keto diet?

Yikes! I hadn't heard that safflower was bad, too!

If tolerated oils better, I could get away from

the mayo. As for yummy. . . I personally think it's

gross. . .even more so with a prego tummy! What to

do. . .what to do. . .
