This is pretty common when you don't take pain meds. Not a problem but

scary

if you don't know what's happening. Taking the other half so soon just

kind

of doubled the reaction to it just when the first half would have been

taking effect.

If you aren't used to them you should just lie or sit quietly for at least

an hour when you take them. Just to observe what will happen.

Eating makes a big difference for me, and I've taken a few types of meds for

pain. I'm terrible at not eating breakfast, and I can take my long-acting pain

med that way and all is okay.

But if I take my short-acting as I do nearing lunch time and I haven't eaten or

don't take it with food, I'll get tired. (I'm on several meds that cause

tiredness, so it's easy for me to experience this if I don't eat.)

Another thing that I thought of: if you do actually get some relief from

whichever medication seems to work for you, try to remember to take it slow.

Many of us are so unused to feeling less pain that we tend to get excited about

it and overdo. Maybe you wouldn't do that, but it's good to be aware of anyhow.
