my dr appointment w/ pain center

well, at last my appointment with

pain center went well. The doctor

was really good. He opened up by

saying tell me about your pain.

He examined me and saw that I had

lost movement, reflexes, and

feeling in my legs. He just

was so nice. He listened to me

and typed in his little computer

every once in awhile.

He asked me in the past what had

worked and I told him. I also told

him I would like to try some acupuncture

and he said maybe after we try a

few things.

He ended up prescribing 20mg methadone

2X a day and 15 mg hydrocodone elixir

4X a day PRN for breakthrough pain.

That is a big jump from taking 1/2 of

a 5mg hydrocodone 2X a day, but I have

been in severe pain since June when I

came off the 100mcg fentanyl and 15mg

hydrocodone elixir. So, i should be

experiencing some pain relief soon.

I have to wait three days to get quantity

exceed limits override exception. Too

many rules. But i have waited this long

what is three more days.

He also doubled my neurontin from 900 to

1800 and he said if that didn't help the

burning pain he would try 3600 if I

tolerated it. I have been on 2400mg before

for my seizures and did fine so I should

do fine, problem is I need to get the

neurontin approved with insurance.

Well, everyone be thankful with my good

pain doctor appointment. Still be in prayers

for a primary doctor appointment.

Also, I will probably talk to the T.B.I. law

enforcement to about jenny's murder. court date

is Monday at 9 a.m. I am looking forward to it

and dreading at the same time. I just don't

understand how anyone can kill another

individual especially for a little money!

I go to my christian counselor today and

hopefully he will help me find a doctor.

And help me deal with the murder more as

I am still having a hard time.

Be careful yourself. We don't want the same thing to happen to you! I'm so

glad things are working out for you and you have doctors that care.

I am glad you got a good appointment and that your symptoms match up with

what you are saying so they don't doubt you.

I hope you get relief soon and this works for you. Good Luck and let us know

the results.

help. I will be interested to hear what you think of the methadone I may need
