Guest guest
Hello, everyone. I just wanted to take the time and update everyone on my conditions. I visited my physician yesterday, due to severe neck pain, which is causing occipital headaches. I am also nauseous, due to the severe headaches. I have only had an x-ray performed on my cervical spine, which showed several severe muscle spasms. My doctor ordered a MRI, which I will have done Monday. She also prescribed me more pain medication. She believes my cervical spine complications are also causing my shoulders to have deep muscles spasms and my right arm to go numb. My blood pressure is staying around 151/96, especially when the pain is at its worst. I already take two heart medications, including a beta-blocker for a heart condition. I also have a hand and wrist specialist appointment on Monday to evaluate my right hand and wrist. If my right hand and wrist are somewhat better, then the specialist will schedule the surgery for my left hand and wrist. I had surgery on June 10 for my right hand and wrist, due to severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The specialist told me that it could take anywhere from a year to two years to fully recover from the surgeries. I also have muscle atrophy in both hands. In May of 2007 is when I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in my lumbar spine. I basically have osteoarthritis, retrolisthesis, hemangiomas covering the L4 disc, and two disc herniations. I had my first MRI then but only had it performed on my lumbar spine. I pray that the doctors will find the answers to all of my pain issues from the MRI on Monday. I unfortunately had to medically withdraw from college, whenever my neck started giving me problems, along with the other medical conditions I have. I pray that my husband is granted his disability this month. We are both unable to work, due to medical conditions. He has two really bad knees, high blood pressure, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and two bad feet/ankles. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. God bless everyone, Tam (Arkansas)
