Guest guest
Hi All This is a short Netiquette reminder. Please use commas and periods (and other appropriate punctuation) in your posts, instead of strings of periods (dots). Several of our members read us faithfully using blind/vision impaired computer readers. Some of the read aloud programs have a heck of a time when people use strings of periods (dots) in place of normal punctuation. Those string of periods (dots) often make the programs read in very disjointed ways. This makes it difficult for some of the vision impaired members to follow the email. Not only do the periods (dots) drive some of the read aloud programs nuts -- they can also make it hard for people with limited vision to follow the written text. To top it off, excessive use of periods (dots), also makes the text wrap go kerflooey when the post hits the web site. It's a simple thing to change, so please write in sentences and skip all the dot, dot, dot, dot, dots in the middle and at the end of the sentences. Our group is intended to be inclusive. We don't want someone to miss out on needed support and knowledge, simply because some posts are confusing to read. Posts that are too hard to read, will either be returned, deleted, or (if a moderator is feeling really magnanimous) fixed by the moderator. All three take up the moderators' time, so please type your posts, following the group guidelines, and let us skip the hassle. Thanks -- Lyndi Moderator
