Guest guest
, I am finding out that when I call for an appointment for the Dr. I have to tell them why I want to see him. So maybe we have to have a list ready to read off to them. I just had a situation like that. I said I wanted to see him to discuss having a colonoscopy and of course going down from the top to which I could not think what it was called. I went in and in the conversation he thought I should do that but besides that I should see a pain Dr. I decided to do the pain Dr. first and then we were snowed in for three days so ended up doing the other. On my paper it had colonoscopy only because I had said that when I called. I did get it straightened out and had both but for some reason it has changed. Then this week I called in to get my script for fentanyl patches. I was questioned thoroughly by the nurse as to why I was using them every 2 days. I told her that I had too much pain and had been doing this for several years. When I picked up the script it said " Patient stated that she has been using the fentanyl for several years " I have been going to the same Dr. for ten years and will see him as soon as I need my next script and ask him for the reasoning of all of this. My daughter uses the Imitrex injections for her migraines and it has been the only thing that helps. I had migraines for twenty years but they did not have Imitrex then. It is expensive but worth it if you can do it. She is on Medicaid which helps. Sorry this is so long. Lois > What does that mean when a doctor tells you that " we only treat you for what you came in for. " I did go in for asthma and they did x-rays for pneumonia and it was negative.
