Guest guest Posted March 30, 2002 Report Share Posted March 30, 2002 Today is the third day of no seizures for Ted! It's hard to believe that I'm even writing this post now... We started vigabatrin on Wed night (250mg/day) and haven't seen a seizure since! We're weaning the Tranxene (valium) over the next few days, as it seems to make him really goofy and hasn't helped seizure control. We still have a couple of weeks before we reach the 500mg x 2/day level of vig. Although I'm not sure whether or not we'll get there. We're not sure if the seizure control is from the vig, the diet, the valium, or some sort of combination of these strategies. So, now we'll start experimenting with levels, diet, etc. No complaints here... I'm just happy to see a sparkle in his eye again! Thanks to everyone for your support! We'll keep you posted as the days continue to add up (that's positive thinking!).
