Guest guest
Hi group, I agree that sleeping in a chair may not be the best answer. I spend the first 3-4 hours of the night in a bed. When I wake up to use the bathroom, my back is sore at this time and I then transfer to the reclining chair, which I fully recline most of the time so it's almost like sleeping in a bed. I am also a very light sleeper and have slept in a separate bed (and room) from my wife for the last 17 years or so. The sounds of breathing keep me awake and I will literally toss and turn and be mostly awake for the whole night when we stay in a hotel, unless it has a couch I can use. I call it the " vacation penalty " ; lousy sleep and increased pain due to not having the distraction of work to help manage the headaches. I am intrigued by all the ads for Select Comfort beds, and how they supposedly have reduced or eliminated back pain. I am considering purchasing one in a few months when finances allow. Thanks again for the feedback about beds and sleeping. in Washington State
Guest guest
Hi, Not sure if i'm doing this the right way, i just joined today... On your mattress purchase, I just did a lot of research on them for my back, and did buy a new mattress. The last two we had were pillow tops, and they were ok at first then, they started to sag, the last one was only a few years old. I did try out a select comfort in a store, it felt good, but it's an air bed. Then from a UPS man that talked to my husband he said he returns them all the time, so I gave up on that idea. After reading more information, we bought a Serta FIRM no Pillow top " King Size bed. I love it, and my husband has back problems also. This is our first King size bed, and I don't know why after 42 years of marriage we didn't have one before. There is no movement when you roll over, or get out of bed, sometimes I have to look to see if he is still in bed. I hope this helps you decide, and good luck. Any questions please feel free to ask. --- in Washington State wrote: >I am intrigued by all the ads for Select Comfort beds, and how they supposedly have reduced or eliminated back pain. Guest guest
Not many beds work for my back. I went to a place and did a test thing. On what works for my back. If i would have that mattress. Would be a lot of money. Would be nice to have some thing that would help my back. Have not had much luck. The only thing we didn't bring who lie in our beds is the two dogs and cat. lol Bennie
